The CPRS Calgary – Students Committee invites you to participate in the 2020/2021 mentorship program. This program will provide an opportunity for students to connect and engage with public relations practitioners such as yourself to help them navigate the PR industry here in Calgary.
What’s in it for you as a mentor?
- Receive accreditation maintenance points (worth one maintenance point/year)
- Learn more about new technologies/strategies from graduating students
- Give back to the profession/share your experience with up-and-coming practitioners
The mentorship program is a premier platform for mentors to immerse themselves in projects, build skills, and give back to their profession in a rewarding way.
What’s the time commitment? The minimum requirement entails one face-to-face meeting per month and at least one phone call and/or email each month from both parties. There will also be two networking events throughout the term and a few checkpoint meetings with the mentorship coordinator. However, how much time you and your mentee decide to commit to the partnership is completely up to you.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity. If you’re interested in becoming a mentor, email education@cprscalgary.com by Oct 31, 2020.
