Following the success of our PR by the Pint event in May 2020, we’re bringing back a shared experience event that combines a wine tasting with a presentation and conversation with Magalie Harvey, National Public Relations Manager, Moët Hennessy brands, two of 23 houses of wines and spirits brands owned by LVMH.

Magalie will share her experience in working with a worldwide brand and how her team employs media relations, influencer marketing and celebrity partnerships to promote Moët Hennessy brands in a tremendously competitive market.

The tasting will be led by sommelier Jenna Usunier, with whom we will explore the story and unique elements of the Terrazas de los Andes wines noted below.

How it works:

We have curated two wines – a Malbec and a Chardonnay – from Argentinian winery, Terrazas de los Andes. Our friends at Highlander Wine & Spirits have provided the option of free delivery, or participants may opt to pick up their order at one of Highlander’s eight Calgary locations.

Of course, if you’re interested in the talk but not the tasting, you’re welcome to join as well.

To pick up wine orders at the Highlander in Aspen (Calgary), please RSVP by March 23, 2021. If you aren’t ordering wine, then the registration deadline is March 24.

About our presenters:

Magalie Harvey
National Public Relations Manager
Moët Hennessy brands

Magalie Harvey began her career in the fashion industry 16 years ago. After graduating from HEC Montreal with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Magalie spent a few years in the UK working in fashion, and worked her way up to becoming the PR liaison for France, for the worldwide fashion brand Ted Baker. When returning to Canada, she focused on establishing her career in Public Relations and Communications, and worked for Canadian retailer Le Château for 5 years as PR Manager. She touched on many aspects of PR & Communications, including media relations, influencer marketing, partnerships and social media. In 2019, Magalie pivoted her passion for fashion to the world of luxury wines and spirits industry when she became part of the Moët Hennessy Canada team. Magalie’s enthusiasm, creativity and strong communication skills have made her a natural when it comes to implementing PR strategies and fostering relationships with influencers and celebrities for the brands. In 2020, she also took on a new challenge in the digital marketing world, and has been learning and perfecting her skills in paid social media advertising.

 

 

Jenna Usunier

Charton Hobbs Wines & Spirits

Jenna Usunier is based in Calgary, Alberta where she manages the business development for Charton Hobbs Wines & Spirit for Western Canada.

Jenna started her career in the wine industry in 2010, managing her family owned wine and spirits boutique in Edmonton, Alberta. She went on to complete her International Sommelier Guild level 2 and WSET Level 3 training in Sydney, Australia through the Australian Wine Institute.  After moving back to Canada, she began her career in the distribution side of the industry with Select Wines & Spirits in 2013. Jenna took the opportunity to expand her career into marketing with Charton Hobbs in 2016 as the Regional Marketing Manager for Moët Hennessy brands.  She has since expanded her role to Western Canada, managing key chain accounts, corporate relationships and client development.
