Yana Nesterenko is a versatile communications professional with a diverse background in journalism, government affairs, and marketing. Her career began as a TV reporter and broadcaster, where she honed her storytelling and media production skills. Transitioning into advertising and marketing, Yana gained valuable experience crafting innovative campaigns and building strong brand strategies.

Her time in government roles provided her with expertise in managing public relations and government affairs, further strengthening her ability to navigate complex communications challenges. Notably, Yana contributed to the media team’s efforts in developing Odesa’s bid to host the World Expo 2030, showcasing her strategic thinking on a global stage.

Since moving to Canada, Yana has continued her communications career in the education sector, working at a private vocational college. This role allowed her to refine her skills in marketing and event coordination within a diverse and dynamic environment.

As the PD & Events Chair for CPRS Calgary, Yana brings her passion for event management, video/photo production, and strategic communications to create impactful professional development opportunities for the community.
