Maya Smith is a PR and social media specialist with four years of experience. She graduated from Mount Royal University in June 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a minor in History.
Maya currently works as a Social Media Specialist at Adverb Communications and specializes in video storytelling. She supports a variety of clients to reach their digital marketing needs, taking on all steps of the journey from ideation to filming, editing, copywriting, publishing, and managing social media accounts. She is passionate about finding the perfect trending audio to fit each client’s brand.
When she isn’t working for Adverb, Maya creates content for The Ice Garden, an online women’s hockey publication, and has covered a variety of teams and leagues, including the 2022 Women’s Olympic Hockey tournament and the PWHL.
Outside of work, Maya loves to read, write fiction, play hockey, and watch car racing.
