Lisa is the Principal of Momentum Communications, a PR consulting firm she started in 2005, following
stints in agency and non-profit work. She has been accredited since 2002 and has been an active CPRS
member since she joined, serving on the board for numerous terms in professional development,
secretary and membership roles. Lisa’s hope is that through CPRS, members engage with their
colleagues to continue to support each other and build the profession.

Lisa’s career in public relations began in conference planning and has progressively expanded over
to encompass project management, strategy development, writing, media relations and strategic events
management. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan,
a Certificate of Public Relations from Mount Royal College.

Highlights of her career include logistics planning for Will and Kate’s Royal Visit to the University of
Calgary, project management for the University of Calgary’s 50th Anniversary, and media relations that
saw the Prevnar vaccine added to the Alberta formulary. A specialized generalist, Lisa has the pleasure
of working with a wide variety of clients to help them build and protect their reputations, to share their
stories and celebrate their successes.

Lisa is the mother of two teenaged sons and one giant Bernadoodle.
