Lisa’s career in public relations began in conference planning and has progressively expanded to encompass strategic planning, project management, writing, media relations and strategic events management. Accredited in public relations, Lisa brings creative ideas and practical solutions to clients in private, public and not-for-profit sectors, and prides herself on the ability to become an extension of client teams.

Launched in 2005, Lisa’s boutique PR agency, Momentum Communications, helps clients share their stories and celebrate their successes.

Momentum enjoys a client base that spans industries and sectors, including the Fountain Tire, Glenmore Christian Academy, LivingWorks Edmonton, McLeod Law, University of Calgary and United Way of Calgary and Area.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Certificate of Public Relations from Mount Royal University.

Lisa is the past chair of the PR Advisory Committee at Mount Royal University, Faculty of Continuing Education, is an active volunteer with the Southwest Hockey Association.

Lisa has been an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society since 1997. She served on the board as chair of the Professional Development Committee from 2000-2002, chaired the gala committee for the CPRS National Conference in 2005, chaired the national nominating committee from 2006-2009 and has continued to participate by volunteering as an accreditation examiner. A strong believer that you get out of an organization what you put into it, Lisa joined the Board again for a 3-year term in 2017-18, and then returned in the Membership chair position for 2023 with an aim to increasing member numbers and engagement. She has a particular interest in advancing the profession, particularly through professional development, including the PRK exam and accreditation.
